Recently came across this wonderful article on new Peacock jumping spider species, which apparently have the common names of “Sparklemuffin” and “Skeletorus”. It’s especially worth noting that these brightly colored specimens are also the males, who show off to impress potential females (who are rather dull and plain colored in comparison). Unfortunately for said males, the females being so similar sometimes means they get it wrong and their amorous attentions go to waste…. Or she makes them dinner.

Either way, the idea of naming a spider “Sparklemuffin” is one of the greatest things I have ever heard of.
